Isotrol drives BESS control forward in the MISO region through Central SCADA

Our technology supports AES Indiana’s large-scale storage integration and grid modernization efforts
Isotrol has reinforced its role in North America’s energy transition by integrating its Central SCADA system into one of the largest battery energy storage projects in the MISO region.
Developed by AES Indiana, the Pike County BESS provides 200 MW of capacity with a four-hour discharge duration and forms part of a $1.1 billion investment in grid modernization across Pike County. The deployment of Isotrol’s Central SCADA ensures secure, real-time remote control and monitoring of critical storage assets—supporting utility-scale operational reliability from a centralized platform.
This collaboration highlights Isotrol’s commitment to empowering utilities in key energy markets like the Midwest with advanced solutions that enhance grid flexibility, resilience, and long-term performance.
