TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT TO OPTIMIZE STRATEGIES FOR THE RENEWABLE ENERGY PARTICIPATION IN ELECTRICITY MARKETS
The objective of STM project is the development and validation of an integrated management system for large and new generation renewable facilities, introducing a software platform that allows optimizing the management of renewable generation assets, in line with the main research guidelines of the SET PLAN of the European Commission and of the technological platforms.
For this, it has been developed and validated an integrated management system for renewable facilities whose three main differential characteristics are:
- Direct management of low-level control elements for generation, storage and network integration.
- Manageability of these elements in real time.
- Incorporation of advanced algorithms capable of providing information and decision making.
STM seeks to make a qualitative leap in the control systems of wind and photovoltaic renewable installations, in such a way that it is possible to simplify the configuration management, manage the higher-level setpoints and their distribution to the different elements of the installation, and reducing O&M costs.
The result is a tool for the automation of the SCADA implementation processes and communications, support in the development of the drivers for the different technologists, an alarm and incident management system and a tool to discover the park’s communications and plan maintenance tasks.
