The Store project, led by the power company Endesa, seeks to implement large-scale, economically viable energy storage. This initiative has chosen the Canary Islands, where a 1 MW demonstration plant is meant to demonstrate the feasibility of energy storage technologies. The plant also demonstrates improved reliability and operation of the network, while at the same time favouring the integration of renewables.

Funding: The project involves an investment of 14 million Euros and has received funding from the CDTI Technology Fund. 2009-2012.
