SCADA System for monitoring and control of electrical distribution networks
CID (Centre for Information Distribution) is our monitoring and control solution for centralized management of all elements of an electricity-distribution network: substations, CT, headers…The exchange and linking of data from field equipment permits the network manager to monitor, in detail and in real time, the operation of the entire facility.
CID has a web interface that provides access to information anytime, from any device connected to the Internet, and is fully integrated with other systems already in use in the Control Centre.
- CID permits remote control of isolated and geographically disperse installations.
- Makes it possible to know what is happening at each element of the network at all times, providing detailed information on each counter, switch, etc. to enable central management from a single position.
- Access to information about the state of the network can improve responsiveness and facilitate decision–making.
The online implementation of load distribution permits estimation of node voltage and transformer-line saturation at all times. CID provides a comprehensive picture of the state of the network, making automated estimates of those items that do not have a meter and permitting line-saturation readings at a glance.
CID has an alarm-configuration module for sending SMS or emails when certain levels are exceeded or deviations related to specific operating variables occur.
CID features multiple actions for observing the behaviour of different curves in the network:
- Manually introduce characteristic curves
- Calculate curve types
- Copy/modify curves…
Uses load-sharing algorithms, calculation of short-circuit power, and contingency analysis to determine the state of the network in each scenario.
Whenever possible, we propose the optimization of elements already in use, in order to provide cost-effective solutions tailored to the needs of our customers.
